HOLIDAY REGARDS—A Revue to Celebrate!
Why pay $35 a ticket for a new Michael Colby show when you can pay $2,838.15 a ticket for Sarah Snook's one-woman version of PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY or $3,826 a ticket for George Clooney's stage version of GOODNIGHT AND GOOD LUCK (when the movie is available online for $3.99)?
How about HOLIDAY REGARDS is a benefit performance for Urban Stages, now celebrating its 40th anniversary?
How about HOLIDAY REGARDS is an original show, celebrating all favorite holidays, with a sensational 5-person cast, plus different guest stars at each performance?
Plus, it's a celebration of lyric writing in the tradition of Irving Berlin, Larry Hart, and E.Y. Harburg. And the composers are among the best I know.
Plus, my shows have consistently sold out at past Winter Rhythms series (Most also directed by Sara Louise Lazarus and musical director by Michael Lavine). And this one features some of what I believe to be my best work yet.
Finally, again—in a time when theatre costs are through the roof—tickets for HOLIDAY REGARDS are only $35 in a small space where every seat is a good one. And it's a show for everyone, including kids of all ages.
If you are out of town and can't attend, please tell friends who are nearer to New York. Again, the dates are:
December 7 at 3 pm (guest star, Linda Purl)
December 8 at 7 pm (guest stars Bethe Austin and Steven Brinberg)
If the show draws well enough, it could go beyond two performances (in the future). Please help us achieve that goal.
Fondly,
Michael Colby
